Privacy policy
This policy explains what Alphatesseract Tech Pvt Ltd (5/763, Salem-Cuddalore Bypass, Ammamapalyam, Attur, Salem - 636141, India) collects when you use Alpha Tesseract, why, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and phone number.
- Voice recordings and practice data: what you say during lessons, your scores, and what you have learned and reviewed.
- Device and usage information: app version, device type and how you use the app, so we can fix problems.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive confirmation of the payment and your plan status. We never see or store your full card, UPI PIN or bank details.
Why we use it
- To score your pronunciation, explain your mistakes and plan your lessons around what you remember.
- To run your account, process payments and send renewal reminders.
- To keep the app secure and improve it.
We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers who help us run the app, such as hosting, speech-processing and payment providers (including Razorpay), under agreements that require them to protect your data, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your recordings and practice data within 30 days, except where we must keep records (for example payment records) by law.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing support@alpha-tesseract.com. You can also raise a grievance at the same address; we respond within 7 days.
Children
Users under 18 should use the app with a parent's or guardian's consent.
Security
We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your data.
Changes
We will post updates here and tell you about important changes.
